Professional Electrician Course

This program is designed for individuals with little or no prior experience in Electrics. The Professional Electrical Course offers a combination of both practical training (within an approved training centre – national training centres across the UK) and theory (within a training centre learning environment). The length of course depends on which qualification the individual wishes to obtain.

The following units will be covered in these courses:

Applicable building regulations for domestic electrical installation
Electrical safety legislation, regulations standards and terminology
Domestic electrical circuit installation
Domestic lighting circuit installation
Domestic electrical earthing and bonding requirements
Inspecting, testing and commissioning single phase domestic electrical circuits
Special locations and installations including kitchens
Domestic electrical installation pre-work survey/inspection
Basic understanding of 3 phase
18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations
Knowledge of fundamental initial verification
Practical application of the initial verification
Technical knowledge of the inspection, testing and certification of electrical installation
Practical application of the inspection, testing and certification of electrical installation
Inspection and testing of electrical equipment

Electrician – theory and practical modules leading to:

City & Guilds 2365 Level 3 Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (Buildings, Structures and the Environment)
City & Guilds 2392 Certificate in Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification
2391-52 Level 3 Award in Inspection and Testing

Tutor is a fantastic teacher, knows his stuff and can explain everything clearly. The place itself is well kitted out and had everything I needed to complete the course. After completing week 7 on the third day, I was able to practise my skills making whatever I wanted, which was good. Even moved on to welding Aluminium.
